Madrona Folk School

I would recommend Madrona Folk School to any family looking to enhance their child’s desire to learn. My child has attended multiple classes with MFS and we absolutely love all of the staff as well as the other families and children we have met. I would describe this folk school as a warm and cozy nook for children to thrive and learn together. 

 

Ever since my daughter started classes with MFS, not only her ability, but her drive to write, create, and comprehend has blossomed. She is writing books on her own at home, she believes in herself and most importantly her love of learning has expanded. We cherish our time at home, homeschooling together as a family, but MFS also has that close knit feeling and the benefit of getting my youth involved in community. We love Madrona Folk School!

We are beyond blessed to have found Madrona Folk School. My daughter looks forward to her class every week, she's made close friends and feels a real sense of community there. Dove is gracious to have a parent meeting before the start of each course, being purposeful about bringing the parents into the classroom. She provides any written materials they will be using for us to look through and invites us to come to class and observe any time! She and Shandin are proactive about including the parents in their children's education and I have complete trust in them. 

 

On top of all of that, my daughter has gained skills that make her feel proud and increased her knowledge in more areas then I can count, all while feeling safe, respected and included.
